Edvīns Kočāns has been approved the sixth member of the Management Board of Latvijas dzelzceļš by the decision of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Latvia, dated 15 June 2009, as the main shareholder of SJSC Latvijas dzelzceļš. The former position of Edvīns Kočāns was a Director of Construction, Energy and Housing State Agency.
