On 1 July Management Boards of Latvijas dzelzceļš and Lithuanian Railways (Lietuvos geležinkeliai) will hold a bilateral meeting to discuss issues on rail transportation.
In the meeting there will be considered issues on cooperation and strategy in freight transport organization, opportunities to develop container transportation with container train Viking, as well as coordination of the agreement project between both railway companies. A separate point of the agenda is a discussion on international passenger traffic organization in the route Riga-Vilnius-Gomel.
