On 20-26 February 2008 in Paris there took place the 16th International Festival Train&Metro on Film CinéRail in which participated the representatives from more than 20 countries. There were shown 6 full-length films, 39 short films and 9 documentaries.
SJSC Latvijas dzelzceļš in the corporative and advertising film show of the companies participated with three advertising films about Information Office 1181 (they can be watched here), which had been produced in cooperation with a film studio Animācijas brigāde.
In a competition of 39 films LDz got the highest award by the jury - CinéRail D`or de la Publicité.
LDz animated short films were also awarded with a special prize by the festival international jury.
