To make it easier for passengers to get to and from the passenger platforms at Riga Central Station, SJSC "Latvijas dzelzceļš" offers an assistant service.
The service is available by requesting it via the free-of-charge Latvian Railways Customer Service Center phone number 8002 1181. The assistant service will be provided within 30 minutes.
To provide the accessibility of rail services to persons with reduced mobility (hereinafter – PRM), SJSC “Latvijas dzelzceļš” offers assistance to PRM for boarding the departing train and disembarking from the arriving train at some passenger stations using mobile platforms.
The service is now available at the following stations: Rīga, Krustpils, Rēzekne, Daugavpils, Jelgava, Sigulda, Dubulti, Vaivari, Liepāja.
The PRM notifies of his/her need for assistance to SJSC “Latvijas dzelzceļš” at least 24 hours before the planned journey by free of charge phone 8002 1181.
The assistance is provided free of charge.
In case the PRM applies for assistance electronically, a special application form must be completed here: www.ldz.lv/lv/PRM
The PRM, whose request for assistance is confirmed, has to arrive at the designated station at least 30 minutes before the published departure time.
